Blue Sky Moments ~ A Collection of Wisconsin Aviation Memories

The latest book published by the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame. Blue Sky Moments is filled with aviation quotes and images, both historical and recent.

Photos were specifically chosen to represent the diverse aviation history of Wisconsin, as well as to highlight the important elements of aviation in Wisconsin today.

The History of Aviation in Wisconsin

Published in 1998,  Forward in Flight, The History of Aviation in Wisconsin is the result of years of painstaking research, interviews, image review and writing.

The book received an Award of Merit from the State Historical Society of Wisconsin in 1999.

The book's printing of 5000 copies included over 3500 that were distributed to libraries across Wisconsin. Only a very few of these fine historical treasures remain.

Racine, Wisconsin native and 2003 WAHF inductee, Robert J. Goebel, published a book detailing his experiences as a World War II combat pilot in 1991. 

The book, Mustang Ace, Memoirs of a P-51 Combat Pilot, is an exciting and detailed account of one pilot's experiences from pilot training to Panama to northern Africa to Italy and becoming a double ace.
