The second annual induction ceremony was similar to the first in that evening began with a social hour and dinner. The induction ceremony followed brief presentations by Dr. Jack Kirby, Vice Chairman of the Governor's Council on Aeronautics and Stuart Herro, President of the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame, who answered the question, What is the Aviation Hall of Fame?

The introduction of Brigadier General Lester Maitland was by Carl Guell, the award was accepted by Fritz Wolf. Charles Marotske made the introduction of Major Richard I. 'Dick' Bong, Dick's brother Carl Bong accepted the award. Ben Silko presented Howard Morey, who thanked the audience and the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame for the honor.

The evening's featured speaker was Ira Milton Jones, a World War I pilot who, after completing ground school at Princeton University, completed pilot training at Chanute Field in Rantoul, Illinois. Jones was sent to Issoudon, France for advanced training and later served in 25th and 148th Squadrons, AEF. Jones helped organize the World War I Overseas Flyers in 1970.
